My data collection process will be to set up target/mist nets and check them every 45 minutes for 4 hours. When a bird is in the net, we place the bird into a bag so it is calm, then process it. We record the bird's species, its band number, age, sex, wing length, tail length, weight, the level of parasites it has, its fat score, and we take a blood sample if the bird's sex cannot be identified. Then we release the bird. If there is fecal sample in the bag, the VINE Project will send it to universities to study.
